Dean Gulley
Douglas, Wyoming
Dean Gulley was bom October 21, 1926 in Scottsbluff, NE and
married his wife, Donna Haskins in April of 1946. They have three
children; son, Jerry of Dallas, TX, daughters, Gail Wulff of
Oceanside, CA and Shelly Quick of Douglas, WY.
Dean spent four years in Regular Army Air Force and served on the
Wyoming State Fair Board for 8 years and also 8 years on the
Douglas School Board. He has been a car dealer for 45 years and has
owned his own car dealership for 31 years. Dean is a 32nd Degree
Mason and a Shriner.
Dean started with the Douglas Senior Pro Rodeo 10 years ago and
served as the financial chairman. In the beginning they visited
every business to request support and it went so well that after a few
years, started sending statements to request donations. Everyone
says that the Senior Pro Rodeo is the best rodeo held in Douglas and
it puts up more added money than any other rodeo on the circuit.
Dean has done so very much towards the success of the Douglas
rodeo, and is pleased that it has often been named as the "Rodeo of
the Year".
Dean considers it a great honor to be named to the National Senior
Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame.
