Dennis Reiners

Cave Creek, Arizona
Membership Card #1201

Dennis Reiners was born on October 17th, 1937 in Clara City
Minnesota. Growing up on his family's farm found Dennis pitching
bundles of oats and driving teams of work horses. At the age of 13
Dennis saw his first rodeo at Clear Lake, SD. Dennis saw the great
Casey Tibbs ride. Dennis was impressed and knew then he wanted to
be a Bronc Rider.

Dennis Reiners' rodeo career began in 1954 at Raymond, SD. He won
1st in the steer riding and covered his Bareback for a 1st at
Watertown, SD the very next week. There was no stopping him.
Dennis' four decade career had begun.

With many successes under his belt, Dennis began his Pro Rodeo
Career. Dennis' hero Casey Tibbs entered him in the Spring Rodeos of
1960, a career that led to a 1965 NFR Bareback Championship, the
1973 NFR Saddle Bronc Championship and the 1970 World
Champion Saddle Bronc Title. In all, Dennis went to the NFR twice in
Bareback and 8 times in Saddle Broncs.

Dennis began his NOTRA career in 1979. He was the champion
Saddle Bronc rider of the first Old Timers Finals in Las Vegas in
1979. Some of the finalists that year were Casey Tibbs, Marty Woods
and Ellie Lewis. Dennis was 11 times the Saddle Bronc Champion for
N.O.T.R.A.

Dennis rode his last Saddle Bronc at Battle Mountain, NV in 1992.
